How are people finding their Seattle realtors?

According to the Washington Realtor Association, 85% of local home buyers looked to a Seattle realtor to help them find their dream property. The vast majority of these buyers said their Seattle realtor was a "useful source of information." Almost all buyers stated "honesty and integrity" as the most important consideration for finding Seattle realtors and 87% said they were satisfied. An additional 68% of buyers mentioned that they would use their Seattle realtor again.

Additionally, roughly 73% of all buyers began their real estate Seattle search online at a Seattle MLS site. Most buyers browsed for two weeks prior to contacting Seattle realtors for showings. On average, people considered 4 – 13 real estate Seattle MLS properties online before deciding where their time was best spent looking.

Real Estate in Seattle

The average home purchased from real estate Seattle MLS listings was: within 13 miles of their current residence, averaging 1,790 square feet, with a median price of $300,000. A quarter of the housing was new construction and 41% of the houses sold went to first-time buyers between 25 and 34 years old, with a median income of $54,700 .

Since 1990, Seattle population has increased by 12% as a whole, but the downtown populace has skyrocketed over 60%! CNN Money Magazine said that more and more young professionals are asking their Seattle Washington Realtor about downtown living because they like to be in the center of all the action (although the average age for a downtown dweller is 43). Even retirees are looking for close proximity to museums, restaurants and health care access, while empty nesters choose a shorter commute. The suburbs don't always equate with more affordable housing or less road congestion these days, Seattle realtors remind prospective home buyers. Over the years, real estate Seattle MLS listings have been dominated by new condos that promise desirable commute times, amenities, entertainment and luxury.

Seattle Realtors Work Exclusively With Home Buyers

According to Seattle realtor estimates, 13% of Seattle's housing units (37,320) are located in the downtown core. Of the 54,773 people who call downtown Seattle their home, there are 100 more kids compared to last year. Renters make up 84% of the residents, with 16% owning their unit. A quarter of the downtown housing is government-subsidized.

Out-of-state expats often ask Seattle Real Estate Agents about the business conditions downtown. Over $1.1 billion in development projects were finished in 2007, up 44% from the previous year, with another $3 billion under construction. Half of the 231,532 employees in real estate Seattle work downtown, where the amount of green space and parks has gone up 38% from 42 to 58 acres. Given all the entertainment and attractions real estate in Seattle has to offer, an additional 18 million tourists grace the busy metropolis each year. (And don't worry, there are 217 coffee shops to choose from!)
